Question 1

How should I care for full-grain calfskin?

Accepted Answer

Keep it dry, keep it out of direct sun, and store it in its dust bag when you are not carrying it. Wipe marks off with a dry soft cloth rather than a wet one. The leather will darken and soften with use. That is the material doing what it is supposed to do.

Question 2

What if the leather gets wet?

Accepted Answer

Blot it with a dry cloth and let it dry away from heat. Do not use a hairdryer or put it near a radiator.

Question 3

How long until my piece is made?

Accepted Answer

Seven to ten working days before dispatch. We make in small quantities rather than holding deep stock, and we would rather take the time than rush it.

Question 4

Can I change or cancel an order?

Accepted Answer

Write to hello@mauada.com as soon as you can. If we have not started cutting, we can change or cancel it.

Question 5

Do you take custom orders?

Accepted Answer

Occasionally. Write to us with what you have in mind and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.

Question 6

Can I return a piece?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within fourteen days of receiving it, unused and in its dust bag. Write to hello@mauada.com and we will tell you how.

Question 7

Something is wrong with my piece. What now?

Accepted Answer

Tell us. We made it and we will put it right.

Question 8

Where do you ship?

Accepted Answer

Within Nigeria and internationally. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the destination.

Question 9

Will I pay customs on an international order?

Accepted Answer

Possibly. Import duties are set by the destination country and are the recipient's responsibility. We cannot calculate them in advance.

Question 10

Can I track my order?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We update your order as it moves and you can see its progress in your account.
